Jackson, Mississippi Wedding ~ Whitney & Gabe

A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine, Jeanelle Caraway, posted on facebook that she was looking for second shooters for a couple of upcoming weddings.  I responded immediately...Me, Me, Me!  Pick Me, Please!  I always jump at the opportunity to learn and to help out a friend. :)

The wedding was at Lake Caroline in Jackson, Mississippi.  Whitney and Gabe did an awesome job with all of the details from the food, flowers, decorations, ceremony and music.  It was a beautiful wedding, and totally worth the trip out of town to second shoot!

The dress...

 More deets.  Shoes. Flowers.

This is the *boat house* (where the girls got ready).

This was the first time that I've gotten to shoot a FIRST LOOK.  (That's when the bride and groom see each other just before the ceremony, alone, and share a few moments together before everything gets underway.)

Since they did the first look, it also gave us some time to capture a few pictures before the guests arrived.

Jamie and Tyler ~ After Session

You may remember Jamie, owner of Molly Dendy, from last year.  We did a fun photo shoot featuring her tutus, and she featured me on her blog too.  Well, out of the blue, she called me over the holidays to tell me she was GETTING MARRIED in VEGAS and wanted to schedule some pictures for after the wedding.  We finally got her session, with her new hubby Tyler, done about a week ago.

She had some great ideas for locations...her family's old barn, and two old historic churches that her family had been involved with years ago.  Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate.  It was wet and very cold, but we made the best of it.

As is usually the case, the last shot of the evening is my favorite!

Tulsa Wedding: Becky + Travis

This was a beautiful wedding at the Dresser Mansion in Tulsa.  I've met Travis once or twice in the past (he's my brother's brother-in-law), but I met the bride, Becky, on the day of the rehearsal.  I was so impressed by how organized she was...there was no doubt that she was in charge! (Seriously, she should consider a career in party planning!).

The day was perfect, and I was super excited to be the photographer for this wedding.  My brother and his wife got married at this same location almost 3 years ago!

I could've kept myself busy documenting the details all day!

If they were nervous before the ceremony, they didn't show it.

Hydrangeas are one of my favs...and here's Travis getting his first look at Becky!

They wrote their own vows and had everyone in tears.

They rocked the "Bond" pose...

...and the dance floor!

Congratulations Becky & Travis!  You sure do know how to throw a great party!

Wedding: Sneak Peek

Here is a little preview of a wedding that will be coming up on the blog very, very soon.  I got to take a little road trip to Tulsa for this one...and it was definitely worth it

This is the AH-MAZ-ING location, The Dresser Mansion in Tulsa...

Here are a couple of fun shots of the bride and groom outside the rehearsal dinner locale...

And my brother and his sweet wife (they hooked me up with this gig)...

Wedding: Heather & Tyler

Heather & Tyler got married a few weeks ago at the Greek Amphitheater at SAU.  It was a great place for a wedding...even with a bit of rain.

Here a few pics from the rehearsal...

Its just a sprinkle... no big deal!!!

The girls got ready at the studio, so we got to play around with some natural light portraits...

The afternoon of the wedding it stormed horribly. We thought the ceremony was going to have to be moved indoors.   But, the rain cleared, just in time...

Flower Girls and Junior Bridesmaids...

Heather & Tyler are a young couple and super-fun.  A formal portrait just wouldn't of been their style.
