My Assistant for the Day

These were taken during my last bridal session by My-Assistant-For-the-Day, Alyssa.  Aren't they great?  Alyssa is headed to LA Tech to study photography.  She has been shooting film, but for these she borrowed my old dSLR.  I think she has a great eye and a whole-lotta potential!  What do you think?

Here is one she caught of me...

And one I shot of her...

Good luck Alyssa!  I hope you'll help me out again when you are home from school.  Hunter & Lily are going to miss you.

Magnolia Visit

Aren't these kids adorable?  Big brother is three, and the cutie-pie twin girls are one and a half.  So much fun, but what a challenge! The kids were great...the challenging part was the HEAT and the bright, bright sun.  But, this family was only in town for a couple of days, and I was on my way out of town, so we made the best of it.

Here is the preview.  Let me know what you think!

Now for the hard part...all the kids together in one picture...

Bree - I hope you don't hate me for posting this one...but its just so darn cute and so real!  Did somebody say drinks at Sonic???

I'll have your gallery up very soon.  Thank you for being so patient while I get caught up!  It was so good to see y'all.

Deer Family

Dru knew that I really wanted to catch a shot of our little deer family, so when he came inside and said "Grab your camera, I'll watch Lily", I knew exactly what was up.  So I did, and I quietly snuck around the back hoping to get my shot.  It worked like a charm, and I got some good pics of the deer in our front yard.  Proudly, I went to find Dru to show him what I got.  That's when I heard the giggling.  Back into stealth mode, I crept up on my dear family & and our deer family!

The spotted fawns, Bambi & Feline (of course!) are our third generation of deer friends.  Charlie and Lola are brother & sister and are 2 years old.  They were born sometime during our first Spring in Magnolia.  Cody is their Mama/Grandmother (not in the pictures).  Cody was rescued by a wildlife agent who lives nearby.  We love our friends, but I still curse them when they eat all of my flowers!!!

Not Your Every Day Bridals

This was so fun!  Erin was truly the definition of a fearless bride.  She was open to anything and the more outrageous the better!  This is only Part I of our Trash the Dress Series.  I learned so much from this session and I'm really looking forward to Part II.

Who knew we would find such interesting and "urban" locations in little ole Magnolia!  I just love the colors in this one!

A little something...

Here is a little something that makes me happy on this rainy day.
