Meet Megan.  Aspiring writer, Mom, vegetarian, work out queen, expert horseback rider, etc.  The list could go on and on.

So, one day, Megan decided she was going to write a novel.  Bam! Three months later she was finished with the first of a three part series.  Determined, driven, and disciplined are the only ways to describe her.  

Well, I might also add...Gorgeous!

What started out as an afternoon session, quickly turned into an adventure.  We lugged a three year old and a hefty collection of vintage books, and a ton of camera gear down a windy trail through the woods and when I saw the spot Megan had scouted out, I knew if was all worth it.

The Caldwell Family

Here's another family I got to visit with during our Baton Rouge trip.  Little Carson was born just after Lily Kate and he was one of the first kids (other than my own) to be featured on the blog!

All I want for Christmas...

I was so honored when the Mom of these kids asked me if I could do some pictures!  We've known them forever, and I just love them to pieces!!! We were specifically doing the session for their little girl who just lost her two front teeth...

 

We had to get just a few of all three...Don't they look like little Gap or J.Crew models?

Family of Three (plus one)

Last weekend we took a little trip to St. Louis to visit some family.  (Hunter & Lily had a great time at the Science Center, Zoo and park, but I'm going to save those pictures for another post. ) We got to meet up with my cousin and her family for a play-date and an informal Family/Maternity session.  Her due date is in less than 2 weeks, so these may be their last pictures as a family of three!

Soon-to-be Big Sis...Ella...she's two and half and doesn't stay still for long... 

 

 

My cousin, Emily, is a blogger too!  She recently entered a competition sponsored by Chevrolet and was one of six blogging mommies chosen in St. Louis to drive a Chevy Equinox for a month and blog about her adventures!  How fun...and super sweet to have a brand new, decked out truck for the arrival of their new baby!
